Paradise - Jewish Outlook

Welcome To Jewish Outlook

Now I want you to know the deepest depths.  Every person has a share in this world and a share in Gan Eden, and a share in the coming world, in Paradise.  What does it mean having a share in this world?  What does it mean having a share in Paradise?  I want you to open your hearts in the deepest depths.

Having a share in this world means I know exactly what I have to do in this world.  Even this is a very high level.   Because it means that I know that if I don’t do it, it just won’t happen.  And then that means that I’ve just got to do it.  This is my share in this world.

Do you know what my share in Paradise is?  Do you know what it means to live in Paradise? If I know that everything is good, even if sometimes it doesn’t look so good, it is Paradise.

Imagine if I would know that the Torah is only holy because it’s given to me. How I would throw myself at every word!  How I would cry over every word to understand it.

Daily Torah Quote

Joke of the day

Once there was a Yeshiva student going out on his first date. He went to his friend for advice. “What do I talk about with the girl?”

His friend said, “It’s as easy as pie. First you talk about love. Then you talk about family. And then you talk about philosophy.”

OK, the great moment arrives. They sit down and first he says, “Tell me honestly, do you love lokshen (noodles)?”

She says, “No, I hate lokshen.”

OK, let’s try family. “Does your brother like lokshen?”

“I don’t have a brother.”

Oh, no, this is not so simple. Let’s try philosophy. “If you would have a brother, do you think he would like lokshen?”
